The Power of Ayni
The medicine of Sacred Reciprocity and how it can positively shift your life
Over the last few months I have been blessed to learn Andean Shamanic Healing practices from a world-reknowned Andean Spiritual Master. Being the Gemini Sun that I am, I thrive the most when I am learning from different cultures around the world and being able to share the wisdom to my community, clients and those I care for. I will be sharing some of these practices on my upcoming Women’s Retreat this April!
Many years ago, I learnt about Ayni and it’s essence resonated with me deeply.
Ayni means Sacred Reciprocity. It means that nothing ever flows one way. We are always in constant exchange of the giving and receiving of life force energy with Mother Earth, with the Cosmos, with everything and everyone that lives around us. The moment we were born, we activated our Ayni through the sacred Breath. Each Inhale and each Exhale we are in exchange, we are in flow.
The thing many people don’t realize is that a single, intentional, loving breath and exchange with Mother Earth can shift your energy. Many are looking out at the world and seeing a lot of uncertainty, fear, dissatisfaction - wanting things to be different than the way it is. As scary or uncertain as it may be at times, the greatest mastery lies in not allowing outer circumstances to dictate or take over control of our inner terrains. Dense energies, stagnancy, feeling lost or uncertain, lack of clarity - all simply arises when we live in a lower vibrational state.
We hold the power, and this power is Love. When you notice yourself navigating away from the core of who you are - you need to gift yourself LOVE. Love is Munay. Love is in all the elements of life - air, water, fire, earth, ether.
You can simply turn to Mother Earth for Love.
You can turn to the Universe for Love.
You can turn to the cosmic sky for Love.
You can turn to the Sun and the Moon for Love.
There has been many times in my life where I had felt grief, anger, sadness, confusion, lost, unclear.. and turning to the Medicine of the Mother Earth, Cosmos, Stellar Families, Mother Moon and Father Sky has supported me tremendously.
This is an invitation for you to look and feel beyond the physical - and tune into the subtle forces at hand to support you in your life whenever you need it. Give offerings to Mother Earth, light up incense and share your prayers, open up your heart to receive, bathe in the healing waters with Goddess Yemanja, look up at the night sky and ask your Cosmic Familia to radiate their stellar healing energies through you.
If you have ever been in physical spaces with me, either at my retreats, Tea Ceremonies or online spaces - you would notice that I will always create an energetic container and a sacred altar. I believe in everything that I do - the Divine is holding me and the people I hold space for to be held in Munay and Ayni.
Whatever we give wholeheartedly into the space - is what shall return in the highest form of Love for our greater good.
On my upcoming Women’s LOVE Retreat, I am going to be teaching the Power of Ayni as well as the Power of Munay (LOVE). I will guide everyone in creating a Sacred Earth Altar together to learn and feel the power of this ritual.
